Preview Nordic Walkers (Norse) TV 129 vs Chaos Theory (Chaos) TV116
My second game will be between a relative rooky Chaos team vs my Norse team.
The Chaos team has only 3 skilled players. 2 very lucky Chaos Warriors with one having Block and one having Mighty Blow, and a +1 Strength Beastman. I consider myself lucky that there is a TV difference of 13 TV points. Just short of having to face a wizard. It is just enough to buy Max Spleenripper, a chainsaw fielding ST 4 player. However this player would be active for only 1 drive (due to its secret weapon status) and it has no block so a lucky 1 die will be a chance I am willing to take to bring it down. It inducement can be used to buy another reroll, although he already has 3. It can also be used to buy another APO, combined with the other apo give it a lineup of potential 13 players. I think he will go for the latter.
Chaos Theory (Chaos) TV 116
02 Chaos Warrior 5439
03 Chaos Warrior 5439
04 Chaos Warrior 5439 Block
05 Chaos Warrior 5439 Mighty Blow
06 Beastman 6339
07 Beastman 6339
08 Beastman 6339
09 Beastman 6439 + Strength
10 Beastman 6339
11 Beastman 6339
12 Beastman 6339
My team has gained a Guard skill on the Leading player the Snow Troll. Other then that its identical to below, with an increased treasury)
With his lack of Block the advantage should lie with the Norse. They have block dodge (once), claw (once) to take care of the Chaos Warriors improved armor 9 (although my Snow Troll will therefor also be a main target)
The main advantage for the Chaos will be a slight advantage in strength (but not when defending the LOS “Line of Scrimmage”) The advantage goes to Norse when they are attacking due to the Guard troll. It it more likely that Chaos Warriors will not be displaying a defending quality on the LOS precisely because of that vulnerability. The true main is their strength due to Horns. If they can reach my ballcarrier then on a blitz they will have 2 dice most of the time. Horns give +1 strength on a blitz which is often enough to bring me down. This means that I will have trouble on defending where he can usually get 2 dice over me without even assists. His 3 rerolls will ensure that not having block will rarely be fatal.
I am feeling fairly confident. The opponents coach is very very good but I am giving myself a 60% to 70% confidence of winning. Lets hope I can make the first win in this tournament and eliminate this coach from seeing before the finals (I am quite confident I will be seeing him there, that is IF I can make it there ;-)
My lessons to implement in this game:
Get the ball moving and win this game.
